After designing the Birthday cake I wanted for my 18th Birthday and being quoted between £180 and £250 for a bakery to create it, my parents commissioned me to make the cake myself.
The cake is 'We Will Rock You' the Musical themed, with the figure on top being a cartoon version of the musical's character 'Commander Khashoggi'.
Working from scratch with raw cake ingredients, blocks of icing and orange ribbon I created the cake (complete with the figure on top, stars and 'we will rock you' lettering) for under £30.
